Global Libraries Bulgaria Foundation has continued its partnership with A1 on the Internet for All project into 2026. The project trains seniors aged 55+ in digital skills. It is being implemented in the North Central and North West regions of Bulgaria as part of the national Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The GLBF team held information and training meetings throughout May with librarian-trainers in all ten districts of these regions: Pleven, Lovech, Ruse, Silistra, Razgrad, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Vratsa, Montana and Vidin.
Participating libraries have been provided with projectors and tablets to carry out the project activities, alongside video lessons and printed training materials. The trainings for seniors will take place throughout June.
Internet for All is an AI programme, implemented as part of the project for the development of digital connectivity and digital inclusion in Northern Bulgaria, and co-financed by the European Union as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria. The trainings are part of the implementation of two projects in the North Central and North West regions under the BG-RRP-7.008 “Large-scale deployment of digital infrastructure on the territory of Bulgaria’ selection procedure from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, under investments K7.I1, “Large-scale deployment of digital infrastructure on the territory of Bulgaria”.
