Reading Day is a national initiative organised by the Reading Foundation, the Children’s Books Foundation and the Books and Reading Association. Reading Day aims to put reading at the centre of public attention as a key element for literacy and future skills development. The first Reading Day in Bulgaria took place in 2023 with partner support from Stiftung Lesen (Reading Foundation, Germany). The initiative coincides with Reading Day in Germany, and is held every third Friday of November.
