admin-ajax

In February the project partners for TELL each established a Network of Experts for their home countries.

The Networks include 4 to 8 members who will meet periodically to monitor and make decisions on the project’s progress. Joint activities include an upcoming training in Thessaloniki where they will discuss European Structural and Investment Funds, and the Council of Europe Recommendation on Library Legislation and Policy.

Members of the bulgarian expert network:
  • Kalina Ivanova, Director of the National Library and President of the Bulgarian Library Association
  • Elitsa Lozanova-Belcheva, Head of the Department of Library Science, Scientific Information and Cultural Policy, and Member of the Board of the Bulgarian Library Association
  • Desislava Ivanova, Director of Vidin Regional Library
  • Silvia Pavlova, Director of Vratsa Regional Library and Member of the Board of the Bulgarian Library Association
  • Petya Toleva, Director of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv Library

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE TELL PROJECT ARE:
  • to disseminate the Council of Europe Recommendation on Library Legislation and Policy in Europe throughout the library profession by preparing a guide and organizing awareness-raising events and training opportunities for interested stakeholders (politicians, administrators, professionals);
  • to promote European Structural and Investment Funds by highlighting their impact on European libraries, and creating a roadmap for increasing the visibility of the library sector within the ESIF programming cycle 2028-2035.

EACH NATIONAL expert NETWORK WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS:
  • Preparing communication and advocacy materials about library issues in Europe for politicians, administrators and decision-makers, and uploading them to the TELL project platform;
  • Validation of research and studies undertaken within the project;
  • National-level promotion and awareness-raising activities about the Council of Europe Recommendation and Structural Funds;
  • Participating in events related to the Council of Europe Recommendation and Structural Funds;
  • Selecting participants for winter schools in December 2025 and February 2026, at the Universities of Thessaloniki and Osijek.
