EIFL-PLIP has announced an award of USD 1500 for public libraries which contribute to open government.

Two public libraries have won the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) award for contribution to community health. Congratulations and a prize of US$1,500 go to public libraries in Africa and Europe:

The Elsevier Foundation is seeking new grant proposals for the 2010 Innovative Libraries in Developing Countries program.

The grants by eIFL.net for innovative programs of public libraries were awarded. Ten Bulgarian libraries participated with their proposals.

The Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) initiated a third round of applications acceptance for financing under the People Decide fund. Groups of citizens, boards, clubs, chitalishte, associations, foundations and other citizen structures are eligible for applying.
